                                                      WHATS THE BEST CQ?


CQ is known to most all hams as a universal, over the air, modulated, questioning call, in order  to  make a contact with another ham somewhere. We make that call with full anticipation of talking with someone, in order to hopefully meet
with new folk and make new friends. 

CQ is defined as being originally a Call to Quarters or a Charge to Quarters in Webster’s.


What is our Call to Quarters as Christian Amateur Operators today?
Note that the word Christian, in that title, changes the whole meaning of Amateur Operator, or at the very least it should.


What should be the CQ of  a Christian Radio Operator today?


Please, allow me to make three suggestions about our CQ today.


FIRST:  Our CQ should be initiated with the intent of introducing and encouraging other  operators into the salvation only found in Christ.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.
Proverbs 11:30 NKJV
So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit.
Teach them to do everything I have commanded you. “And remember that I am always with you until the end of time.”
Matthew 28:19-20 GW
That is part of our own personal Christ Quotient. 
This should be the over arching goal of any and all of our Radio contacts, daily.


SECOND: What we are saying to other Operators, how we are saying it, and our actions towards them while speaking with them, should be wrapped in our own personal Christ Quotient. 
Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12 NKJV
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. 
Colossians 3:17 NKJV
That is to say, we should always speak God’s truth in love to everyone, daily, because we are all wrapped up in His love for us.
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--
Ephesians 4:15 NKJV

THIRD:  We should not only be speaking about Jesus to new contacts via Radio, daily, we should be living our personal lifestyles, in front of everyone daily; family, friends and foes alike, just as Jesus did when He walked this sinful World. 

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider Him who endured such hostility  from sinners against himself, lest you
become weary and discouraged in your souls.
Hebrews 12:1-3 NKJV

This too is another facet of who we are now, born again by Christ Jesus, and knowing Him and making Him known to others, since He is our foundation for our Christ Quotient.


No Christ = no Christian. No Christian = no Christian Radio Operator. 
No Christian Radio Operator = no CQ. No CQ = no Christian Quotient in Ham Radio.
